If you don't know where to get parts or how to fix it yourself I doubt you will save much, if any, by taking on such a project.

Yea, I suggest not wasting your money.

im thinkin on not doing it cuz i have only messed with hondas but i was really just checkin up if it would be worth it thanks for the adviseOriginally Posted by 81911SC

Its not that easy to find Evo body parts, at least not OEM. You can buy fleebay bumpers, or certifit bumpers, but none will line up like OEM.
I dont think its worth your time and money. How much are you expecting to get this Evo for? Im assuming its a salvage auction, are you a licensed rebuilder?

Yea man, you may get in over your head and it become a money pit. We all know that's no fun.

yea i have my dealers licence and just got my rebuliders licence so i was thinkin of doing it yea its from a salvage auction and its going dirt cheap lol

It shows you haven't done any homework when seven words from a stranger, over the internet, change your mind on a large purchase like that.Originally Posted by b18vtec92

lol thats why im tryin to find out where to get parts lol i came across this and would hate to lose it i dont want to resale it i want to keep it as personal car so salvage title dont bother me but thanks for all the input i think ima get it if i dont keep it ill part it outOriginally Posted by aguynamedpat

hell for around 1k id get it, if you get it and decide you cant repair it then part it out and make your investment back and then some

You could easily get $1000 parting it out. Hell if all wheels are in good shape there is ~$400 already. Low mileage motor, tranny, turbo, not to mention all the small stuff like pump, injectors, head parts that swap straight into a DSM.
You will make more than that parting it out. If you dont care about cheap bumpers you can always try certifit or fleebay.
Where was it hit?

in the front and a little on passenger fender frame so i would need to get the front passenger frame straight and new head lights bumper hood fenders and intercooler and pipeinOriginally Posted by aguynamedpat

checked out certifit site and they didnt have evo parts only rs/ls/oz/rally

get that shit 1k id be all over that !

				Less than $1K?
Jeez hard decision..

1k for an EVO, man, i'll get it, strip it down, and make it into a drag car. If not, i'll convert it into the Evo 9 MR. Is the Evo at the auction an Evo 8?

				uninamous decision...
< $1000 is ftw lol.
