    Default write up of d15b

    hey i was wondering if anyone new were i could find a good! write up of how to change the piston rings in my d15b vtec. Pretty sure a d16z6 write up would work. thanks

    unless you have a ring filer and a mic to check the cylinder walls, you would be better off having a machine shop or one of the sponsers here do it, re-ringing is easy if you have the proper tools and know all the specs, such as ring gap, piston to cylinder wall gap. You don't even know if you need to bore it at this point. if you just throw rings into an out of spec. block your gonna be back in the same boat with a lot of wasted money and time. If you still want to do it, lmk and I will walk you through ...

    ok well do u know some where that will change the rings out for cheap. I don't wanna spend to much

    change the rings out only or take your engine apart and do all the hard work?/

    Its not a cheap deal my friend

    Also if you use OEM HONDA rings you dont need to Gap them

    Pull head. Pull pan.pull girdle .Pull rod caps. pop pistons out. change rings.

    but first disconnect negative battery terminal!!
