Question Question About a D-series Setup..

Well after finding the broken rod, I noticed that it also spun 2 bearings on the crank. I have a D15B2 sitting in my garage for a while now. I was thinking of just swapping in the bottom end from that motor with the Jdm ZC head ontop of it. I was thinking it could be some kinda "Mini me" setup. I was wondering what would be the better setup, in your opinions.
Option A: Rebuild the ZC block.
Or Option B: Swap in the D15B2 bottom end.

The zc would be better because its a 1.6, You need to get the crank checked and see if its rebuildable...

That's what i'll be doing once i get the rest of the block apart. I'm going to bring the block and crank to have them checked out.

Thanks. It's just the way how that rod was in there scares me. I'm hoping everything is good to go.

Swap out the d15 and see how you like it. It's not all that difficult and would be a fun swap to do.

option b, you could use it for the time being, and give you time to build the other bottom end.
