    Default So i looked at this boosted GSR - 02' integ w/ 395hp

    He said was 02?

    Ok so this kid near me is selling this...

    First thing - Car has been 5 feet off the ground at 120mph...

    Car was built, then bought, He paid $13500

    SWAPPED KA20AG $2800 Has paper work - 79k mile motor, 6speed, Only bar minimal things to boost the motor
    Dyno'd at 395hp on 9psi, and 425hp on 11psi
    Precision tune turbo - I've never heard of it
    Upgraded injectors
    Coilovers
    Carbon fiber hood
    White on black
    Black leather interior
    Chassis has 80k miles
    FMIC
    3'' Downpipe - Nothing is heat wrapped

    Oil sits in the turbo and causes it to blow white smoke but only sometimes

    FL car, I didn't see any rust

    The car supposedly will do 180mph

    Basically i'll be paying him anywhere between 5000-8000, if he sells what we're trading right

    What's the car worth? can i get more for it?

    ka20ag? no such thing...unless that was a spelling mistake.

    car has done 180mph?

    It's a GSR, whatever year those were made, but it looks really new inside

    It's a K20...

    Like i said, the kid bought it, and knew nothing about it, when i was asking questions, these are the responses i was getting from him

    The kid selling it and his brother have said the car will do "180mph"

    Even 160 is good enough for me, if they aren't lying

    Car has been 5 feet off the ground at 120mph, meaning he was doing 120mph, hit a small hill, and it went air born

    Why would some admit to the car being 5 ft up in the air?

    The turbo seals could just be worn out. You can always upgrade to a better turbo of your liking.

    The car will not do 180mph guranteed. Maybe 160 but by that time the engine would encounter so much stress, it would prob blow.

    it could only 1 of 3 things

    1. its DC2 with a 02 k20(a2) motor
    2. an 02 rsx with a who da fuck knows what a ka20g motor is
    3. a complete dumbass

    Like what he said, there is no such thing as a 2002 Acura anthing GSR. Either a GSR with an K20 swap or a 02 RSX thats boosted. Maybe it was a base model with a type-s conversion.
    Id be worried about all the suspension and frame if the car when 5 feet off the ground at any speed, ESPECIALLY at 120.

    177mph is very close, i'll admit.. good luck holding that bastard in the road though! Id hate to be winding one hard/long enough to be running 8200rpm @ 177mph !

    If the car has been 5 feet off the ground at any speed it is worth about $25 to me.

    Seriously, if he hit a hill at 120mph and launched 5ft in the air... I'm 99% the under carriage is shot to hell and back. 5ft is alot for a car to be jumped and I know it had to land hard. Honestly, I wouldn't fool with it until I completely searched and looked over the entire car. Look for anything, and yes, Jack it up and check up under the car. Probably bent a strut or something when it landed.




    Regardless, I can't tell you that its a bad car, because I haven't ever seen it, but from what you said about it being jumped.... I would be very careful.

    let me decode this cryptic ricer talk

    1. ricers always say their car is a year or two newer than they really are. This kid is obviously too dumb to know that there wasn't an 02 GSR.
    2. 5ft off the ground? sounds like another ricer exaggeration. The control arms would have bent so hard that the wheels would be permanently tucked 6" into the fender.
    3. K20AG? Man thats super rare jdm fo sho... or just another lie to make the car sound cooler than it actually is. It's probably a k20a3.
    4. 400hp @ 9psi... I seriously doubt it. Unless he has $7-8k in internals (pistons, rods, cams, stand alone EMS etc etc etc) there is no way he is making those numbers
    5. there's no way that car will do 180. Even if it does have 400hp, there would be so much stress on the tranny in 6th gear that it would probably fuck the tranny up. Also, having to sustain high rpms for a long period will starve the engine of oil unless he had an upgraded oil pump, especially since he has added a turbo (yet another thing to cook the oil). 160 maybe...
    6. stay the hell away from this thing. You need to read up a little on honda's or else you are going to get screwed. If you seriously believe half of the stuff this guy told you, you're in trouble. Why buy someone else's ragged out piece of shit?

    I wouldn't buy a heavily modded car from someone who doesn't even know how to give you proper specs. That would make me believe that he doesn't know half the stuff he should to keep the car properly maintained.

    Also, if anybody mentioned to me that the car I was about to buy was jumped AT ALL, then I would RUN away from the deal.

    X2, I HAVE HAD CAR A CAR 1' OFF THE FLOOR AND HAD TO REPLACE STRUTS ALL THE WAY AROUND, AND THATS ONLY 1' I CANT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE 5' WILL CAUSE.

    1 thing about this car... The kid missed the gears, a lot... But he said he hasn't been on it a lot... His brother drives the car, and probably gets on it all the time

    The car is very fast, atleast 350hp- I didn't drive it, but rode with him...

    He was probably exxaggerating about coming 5feet off the ground.. 3 people were in the car when this happened as well, Just needed a front end alignment afterwards

    Anyways, here's the car - The kid BOUGHT this, so how much do you actually think he knows?

    When i went with him to test drive it, he missed the gears a lot and caused it to grind.. Which made him say "The tranny has been grinding a little bit"

    I know the car has been banged

    I didn't drive it, so i'm not for sure what's wrong with the tranny

    How much do you guys think the car is worth?

    I'd go for it. Guy sounds sketch but the swap + turbo kit in itself is close to if not more than $6000-7000.

    I had a car 5 feet off the ground and going 130 mph one time, it was on a lift however . If they admitted to "jumping " it I would worry about what they are not telling you. At least they were honest about that. Good luck and it sounds like it would be a fun car if everything is ok with it.
