PRobably wired it wrong during the mpfi conversion! These are the two wires you typically add that go to the distributor.

the wirings were recheck twice and also use the multi-meter/ continuity tester to check all te wires.

Sometimes the whites get dirty, and are easy to mix with a "faded yellow"

my conclusion could be the connector but what is the chances of the connector getting bad?!? and if i keep driving with this code on will it affect my motor in the long run?

Sometimes they can push out of the back of the connector, and throw a light..

IT will affect engine performance because the computer doesn't know where your engine is at time wise in the rotation. I also believe when its throwing a code #9 they batch fire the injectors rather than firing sequentially but i may be wrong about this.

Well one could assume if the engine isnt getting enough fuel or the timing is off, that yes it could damage the engine.

it can and will more than likely damage the motor over time or if you drive it hard. drive it like a grandma and you'll be ok until you can fix it at light loads.

if it doesn't know exactly when to fire b/c of the code it could over time=detonate or severly under time and egt will climb.

if the detonation is bad enough it'll sound like bb's rattling in a can.
