well if a stock ls aint strong enough to handle vtec how is b20 strong enough? only cuz`it has more torque?

So you're asking if they were put against each other in a race? or what?
yea. i had a b20vtec, but my block went out, so im undecided on if i should get a b20 or an ls. i cant find a b20 anywhere but find ls's everywhere.
so yea im trying to figure out wat i should do. ls/vtec or wait for a b20 to fall out the sky.
but i dont got time to wait, i need my car regardless

You can't find a B20? Last time I checked, TigerJapanese.com had plenty for like $600ish and I know passwordjdm had them for a special. Like two for $1100ish or something.

Yeah, i mean there's nothing wrong with either setup. You can find B20's easy. But usually not just a block or head by themselves.Originally Posted by *EJ2*Luis

Bet he would take $1500
Has high mileage but just replace minor things and you should be good to go.

Are the walls scared and or cracked on the B20

b20 all the way and they're very easy to find.. and relatively inexpensive
Why do you need to know how to spell on the INTERNET ITS SERIOUS BUSSINESS

sheesh, all hes asking is whether or not since he had a B20/Vtec before, if he replaces the bottom end with a LS bottom.. will it run better or worse?
stock LS =81 mm bore
stock B20=84mm bore
other then that , they are the same.....Same rods,Same crank..same same same
why wouldn't the ls block be able to handle vtec? gotta run an oil line for the solenoid, but other than that. it should be fine.Originally Posted by ducky1177
i see the ls/vtec setup all over the place.
and really, if you're going all motor, then i'd do a b20/vtec with block guard, if boosted then ls/vtec w/ blockguard.
b20
