    Default Vtec control

    Everytime i cut my car off it resets the vtec control what do i do?
    its a apexi series 2

    Not sure about the wiring on them, But does it have an Acc. and hot wire?

    I have no idea i think im just gonna take it out & sell it, because now my caris running like shit again & thats just another factor to test

    Was it ever tuned? Why is it in there to begin with? The SAFC, VAFC, & VAFC II all have EPROM memory. There's no memory wire because settings are burned onto a chip. I'd call Apex-I and ask them.

    apexi are flash memory and should never reset. a socketed/chipped ecu is better anyway and is more tuneable...remove the afc and sell it.

    How much are these worth & how do i reset my computer as if i never hooked it up?

    if it's a vafc then the vtec wire has been cut and will need to be reconnected to itself as well as the map wire (the vafc intercepts these signals and they route through the vafc so those wires are cut in between the input and output wires of the vafc).

    if it's a safc then the map wire is the only one that should need to be reconnected.

    depending on which afc it is you can get between 100-200 on ebay, craigslist, honda-tech.

    on any of those venues...yes. you could probably sell it locally to a nissan or some other enthusiast other than a honda or someone that has an auto (not really much to tune auto with).
