    Default How do i replace a Lower ball joint

    need to replace my lower balljoint for my 92 civic. Yes i did search, but im wondering if anyone can give me some tips/pointers

    I think it has to be pressed in, I may be mistaking though. Lol

    Correct.. You can rent a ball joint tool kit at the Autozone for 90 bucks use it and then take it back!

    Works great!

    Yes it is pressed in. If you don't have the tools, you can take the knuckle assembly to Napa and they will press them in/out. Most Napa's have this ability.

    to get them out use a air hammer with a pointed end. you want to aim and the joint(near center) they should come out real easy. ive replaced alot of bj's at honda...

    Another common option is to pull the knuckle off the car and then use a mallet instead of a press. Just need to be careful not to damage anything while your wanging on it.
