1995 toyota 4 runner

hey i got a toyota 4 runner this past weekend but it needs a water pump. i was wonderin cause i heard alot of rumors that he head gasket needed to be done when this shit happens. i heard it was very common for that truck to blow a head gasket? but unreliable sources told me that. so i thought id ask. when a water pump on a 4 runner goes what usually do you change with it. thanks

The 3.0L V6 (3VZ-E) engines from the 1990-1995 trucks did have a recall due to the head gaskets. There are many reports of the head gaskets going out.
