    Default HELP!! MY SRS LIGHT STILL WONT GO OFF!!

    OKAY SO I POSTED A THREAD BEFORE ABOUT MY SRS LIGHT GOING ON AND WON'T GO OFF...
    AND SO SOMEONE GAVE ME THE DIRECTIONS OF SHUTTING IF OFF WITH THE MES CONNECTOR BUT IT STILL WON'T WORK.. I NEED IT TO GO OFF FOR MY INSPECTION COMING UP..!! CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY IDEAS OF HOW TO DO IT.. OR ELSE I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $$105 @ HONDA TO JUST GET IT FIXED.... LEMME KNOW ANYTHING AND I WILL TRY IT..!!!THANKS..!!

    SRS doesnt have anything to do with a emissons my friend..Unless your trying to get it to pass the DMV salvaged title inspection?

    YEA THATS IT..!! CAR GOT REPO'D BEFORE BUY PREVIOUS OWNER SO NEEDS INSPECTION FOR NEW TITLE..!!!

    you have the stock steering wheel? And you already tried reseting the SRS via http://www.geocities.com/myintegra96/srs.html

    Maybe wires in the clockspring connector is shorted/broken? Its the item #2...in the pic in link

    start using a volt meter, check if any wires are broken...

    take it have it scanned. find out what the code is and fix the problem simple.

    well thats the problem honda dealership charges 105 an hour just for the scanning crap and all..!!! and don't wanna spend that much for just the srs..!!

    it doesnt have to be honda there are plenty of shop out there that can scan a airbag. most will do it for cheap if not free.

    have you removed the seats? if so then make sure that you plugged everything under the seats back in, sometimes this will trigger an opening in the circuit.

    found out what it was.. the air bag clock spring is badd..!!!

    never going to honda again... they tried to charge me 750 just to fix that thing... and i called honda parts conn. and it was only 50 bucks and found a shop to do it for me for 50 bucks also..
