    For simplicity sake, I will tell you like I tell my friends who dont know a whole lot about rotaries yet....

    The leading coil is the on nearest the battery... It has L1 and L2 on it (in plastic right below where the spark plug wires connect to the coil). Think of it as Lower 1 and Lower 2... So, Lower 1 goes to the front rotor (towards the front of the car) and Lower 2 goes to the second rotor (towards the firewall of the car).

    The Trailing coil is located just behind the drivers side shock tower. It is also labeled on the coil (T1 and T2). Think of this as Top 1 and Top 2... They go to the top plugs for 1 and 2 accordingly....
