So problems going down

Ok i have a 96 teg right, the ignition switch is bad but i can still start the car i just have to turn the key to that certain position so it will stay on, i know its a burned wire or some but anyway, i buy another one from a seller off this site i get it put it on all the wires right and whatever and i try and crank it but the car wont turn on it trys to turn over but it just wont with this new ignition switch but with the old one it turns......with the new ignition switch all the dash lights come on n chit but it doesnt want to start can anyone help me out ??

when he switched out the wires and what not there might have been a built in kill switch u didnt know about frome the previous owner
