    Default 95 civic del sol

    A friend is buying a 95 civic del sol. Its smoking from the tail pipe alot so i figured may be valve seals or piston rings. This is the first honda ill ever touch i only have vw so im not too familiar. so let me know if it could be something else. Its a sohc does that mean that its a 8v or is it a posibbility it could be a 16v I dont have a clue. the timing belt has been done 75k ago. give some advice on what can be done on it or shit that needs to be replaced before it breaks.     so i am putting a new trans in the del sol and you have to adjust the shifter cable and from what i hear its very precise work. Can someone let me know exactly where to adjust it to.

    I'm not sure about the adjusting on the cable. I've always bolted up the shift linkage and called it a day.
