I did this almost 2 years ago.... and kept it a secret till I totaled my brown coupe. lol. I think I told you Kashime, but if I'm not mistaken, i swore you to secrecy and we signed a fidelity agreement in blood.

Nah, actually I mean it's common sense. It's the only thing preventing your coilover perch from going lower right? Cut that bish off! I was about 1/4" from tucking 15's and had another 1/2" to spin them bad boys down.

(and yeah I had this same setup on both coupes and the integra).

So now that the cat's outta the bag... I expect to see the number of slammed cars floating around this forum to grow exponentially. lol.

I gotcha, dude. Up until the recent years, I only did actual absolute to the full definition. As in going as low as you could until you couldn't. We're talking removing the springs completely and riding on just struts, lolol. All my cars back in the day were that way. In about three weeks, my 79 Civic will be out of the shop with a 4" lowered stance. Don't know how low it will put it, but I know it will be over the tires, lolol. Later, QD.

I was doing real slammed cars when you were born, lolol. I lowered a car for the first time in the spring of 1985. It was a '77 Caprice Classic. Later, QD.

both, you need to remember though, that the damper stroke is what makes them shorter, not the strut body itself. EF dampers only have about 5" of depth before they bottom out.

Damn Kash, why you gotta be tellin his secrets?? Hahaha

Don't forget to add another secret, which most of "us" know, and since most of the tricks are out in the open, might as well add this one too.

Take out the top perch or spinning lock off the coilover. Of course only do this if you "maxxed" out the coilover. It'll allow it to sit a bit lower

Looks like you did it here and replaced it with something else? Coilover's have 2 of these perches, take out the top one for a little extra room, or do both and take it lower

FUCK GRAN TURISMO EAST!! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE, ESPECIALLY NOT FOR AN ALIGNMENT!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!

ill make my contribution of my old civc and crx... the civic was actually lower than this at one point, but it caused more damage to the car then it was worth...

and ill post up some pics of my current ride too if i ever actually slam it....

    and almost forgot my sedan!!

    good write-up andrew

    EDIT!!!!

found pics of the civic at it's lowest!! ignore the ricerness of it.. it finally turned into what's picture above, lol.. got a little camber issue
