    Angry rx7 not starting

i have a 1991 na rx7 that will not start, i think the engine may be flooded, i replaced the spark plugs which were shot and took out the egi fuse to no avail. the plugs arent firing at all, i have power at like 14 or 16 but when i crank its only at 12 volts. i can hear the rotor spinning and i can smell gas coming out if the exhaust. can anyone help?

so when you pull the spark plugs out and put them to metal still hooked on the wires does it spark?

Pull the plugs and egi fuses. Turn the motor over until no more fuel is coming out of the spark plug holes. Do not overheat the starter. May take you as much as 10 mins. Put new plugs in. Crank car.
If it does not crank right up, take the spark plugs out, and pour a capful of ATF fluid in both housings. Put spark plugs back in, Crank car.
A capful is a small smount, but it will make the car smoke a lot when you crank it. It will clear up after a couple of minutes. The ATF temporarily raises the compression, making it easy to crank, even if still a little flooded.

if you have no spark then you need to find out where its not coming from. first check all your fuses under the hood, dash. then check your coils under the hood. its most likely one of those or something up with your ecu

If you know how to work on cars, diagnose the no spark problem you have already identified first... If you dont know what you are doing... then it may be time to get some help or to take it somewhere...
