Back on topic. Modern diesels do produce H2O due to catalytic converters that now can be run since we have a low sulfur diesels. I can see H2O when my new TDI is still warming up. With a chemical formula of C12H26, there is your hydrogen and air has your oxygen to make water naturally. With a cat, you now convert your hydrocarbons left to H2O also.
