    Default 240 question

    Just to let yall know im a honda guy and know very little about 240s but my friend owns a 89 240sx and her headlights wont turn off unless you unhook the battery cable and the brake lights wont work at all does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong with it thanks in advance for the help

    this just started happing or did do that when she got it. i would start with tracing the wires. seeing if they are get crossed up with a hot wire some place or even at the switch its self.

    it started adout a month ago and i was hoping someone knew something simple that might be causing it because tracing the wires is a long tedous job

    taillight: check bulbs if still good, check if any cut in wire or a short
    headlight: could be bad switch or hot wire cross over

    take the headlight plug out see if any wires are cut

    checked the wires close to the plugs dont see anything wrong around them

    bulbs were the first thin that i checked for the brakelights but it still wouldnt work with new ones

    u might want to go deep into the wiring. ive found some shit in places u never would have thought people would have touched.

    had that problem with my rex the tail lights and brakelights stoped workin and i had to pull wires up to the seats and it sucked was hoping someone else had had this same problem and it was somthing simple and i woludnt have to go through that again
