Default MY 240 wont go past 5,000 RPM!!!!!

i have a KA24E SOHC nd i just replaced the clutch wit a stage 3 6puck but i have the stock flywheel on it but that got re-surfaced..after doin this i took the car for a spin nd for sum odd reason it wont go past 5,000 RPM's.. it hits rev limiter or suttin nd just stops nd drops back down to low rpm's until i shift gears. .before i did the clutch it would go past 6,500rpm wit no problem..ive already replaced the the plugs wires nd cap it has a new fuel filter also..so if anyone has an idea as to wat might b wrong wit my 240 please lmk..thanks!!

i had a similar problem but mine didnt go past 3000. check the mass sensor wiring it might have a slight cut in it and is grounding out. thats what it was on mine.

i know you did. the mass air flow sens. is the metal round sensor on your intake box. follow its wiring all the way back. it should run along the top of your fan shroud and cross your throtle body. it is located to the left of the fan. which is where it might have gotten cut.

thats definitly an air leak, probably on the intake somewhere. if there are any cracks on it itll do that. or there should be two hoses conected to the intake box. they might be cracked, follow them up and see what happens

lol so you just "took it for a spin" and tried to red line it? do you red line your car on all your "spins"?
