The car is a 94 Civic with a LS/vtec(GSR head). I'm almost finished breaking it in. When I am coming up to a stop, and let off the gas while in neutral or clutch just depressed, the engine rpms fall below optimum idle for a breif moment before recovering. It has almost stalled on me once. Usually the idle gets just low enough for the headlights to dim and the blower motor to slow down. Like I said, it bounces right back to normal very quickly, but it is bothersome. There are no other symptoms, car pulls fine, and idles smooth at all other times. I have a few guesses but I wanna hear what you guys think. I know the timing and the valve adjustment is right. I might recheck the ign. timing again though. I am running a stock GSR basemap right now in my ecu, so it may be that I just need to get a tune, which is what I need to do anyway. Also, I have not adjusted the actual idle screw. I am thinking that since it idles normally almost all of the time, that it should be fine. Perhaps the IACV is sticking? I hate messing with those! Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
