DO NOT DRILL HOLES IN IT TO PULL THE DENT OUT UNLESS THEY ARE GOING TO WELD THE HOLES BACK SHUT!!!

That is how they used to do it back in the day, but eventually it will come back to haunt him. The best way if to get a dent puller that welds a pin to it, then use a dent puller on it, cut the pin off, grind it down smooth, and then go from there with a thin layer of body filler.

Also, when removing a dent, try to picture how the dent happened, meaning what parts when in first, and try to pull it out completely backwards to how it dented. (in other words, if you were watching it on tv, do it the same way it would happen if you were to watch in reverse).
