    I need to know what kind my car takes and how much to put in. I have a 94 civic ex with a d16z6 motor and its a manual

    Always use MANUAL transmission fluid for manual cars. You can use engine oil, like 10W30....BUT I recommend using OEM HONDA MANUAL TRANSMISSION FLUID (sold at the dealer). For your car, you'll need about 2-3 quarts. And each quart bottle is like $7 or $8 if I remember.

    Motor oil is just fine!!

    GM Synchro mesh is great too!!!


    there are many threads like this if you just search!

    Honda takes 2 qrts!

    I appreciate all you guys help and feedback and I know I should've searched but I just figured there were probably a couple hundred people on here that would just throw me some answers. Never heard of using motor oil. But thanks again y'all

    In my s10 blazer and my s15 truck both manuals they called for ATF which threw me for a loop first time I heard of that but I was 16 then so didn't know much...still don't

    Yup they use T-5 tranny and they use automatic,same as the mustangs

    but honda use Motor oil,

    Honda's are bitches, Honda fluid is DEF required!
