Well i took the MSF course it was two days, and after i was all done they gave me a waiver to break me off with a brand new license.

BUt without the course, i beleive you get the permit first and then you haave to take a road test/course(with people not as cool as the MSF guys).. then you get the license.. i wanna say mine was 15 bucks.. cant quite remember

have to find a dmv that offers the test (not all do)

me and tech5 did ours at the same time, in covington. it wasnt much, i think 15$ for 2 yr, or 30$ for 10 yr...something like that.

you dont have to have your learners beforehand. (im pretty sure you dont)

i took mine in acworth..it was like 175 i wanna say...You gotta do it early cuz they fill up fast..but its awesome, you can drop the bike as much as you want, they provide the helmets too...its 1 day of classroom, and 2 full days of being on the bike and having a good time, also some insurance companies will give you a discount if you keep the little card they give for completeing the course. the knowledge they give is invaluable!

    places: https://online.dds.ga.gov/motorcycle...gSiteForm.aspx

they actually have one in conyers.. didnt have that when i took mine

ive had my license for almost as long as you lQQkitzme and i do a msf refresher every couple of years. I went msf route to get mine as well and its the best money you can spend. Its way more than common since. Will go alot longer than the 15 dollars you spent rejecting it

I might go to that course. You can never be too prepared. Hell it is probably pretty fun. Ive only been riding for about 8 months, so i need to get my full license anyway. Maybe Ill do the course.

Im kinda confused. The advanced course says its $150 so is that the one I would be taking. The beginner course is $250, but I dont think thats what I need....but it says the waiver is $150....I thought the waiver was included in a course? If so which one of these?

yea.. everything you need is included in that 150. completeing the course gets you the waiver. but the advanced class is different from that basic course. you need your bike, helmet, insurance, proof of ownership all that. Basic course if for brand new people which you probably wouldnt want to do.. i mean they start you from scratch(friction zone, walking bike, etc).

You need the MSF Basic course. The Advanced course is not for getting your license, the Basic one is. They provide the bike, but I suggest that you bring your own helmet and gloves. Wear blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
They will start you off with the basics, but by the 3rd day, you will be taking the test, and if you pass it, you will get your license.

Oh ok if its the basic one thats more than $150, I guess ill just go to DMV and do the test....while it would be nice to take the basic course, I dont have the extra 100 or three days to spare. Oh well. XD

I want to take the course again...first time you take it you take it as a student. The next one is as a half student/half teacher, then the third time you teach the course. Then after that you get paid to do the courses. PHAAAT

Is it a requirement to have turn signals on the bike for the road test?. I know GA law doesn't require to have one.I currently only have the front turn signals on the bike...

When I took the DMV road test, they checked to see that the turn signals, brake light, and horn on my motorcycle were working.
