    Default Bad Alternator?

the other day i was at a red light and was not paying attention and my car was in gear, mistakingly i thought it was in neutral and stalled out for a quick second and i started it back up with no problem. Dropped my car friends house and when we got back i cranked it up and my car made a terrible squeeling noise.... so i got home to check and it seems like its coming from the alternator but im not sure. If it helps my motor is a stock d16z6. any ideas

sqeeling noise?.. i would check the condition of the alternator belt for cracks, loss of tension or smoothed out spots.

its not too hard. but youll wanna jak th car up. there are two bolts tht you use to (only one is under th car the other is super easy to get to) pretty much losen those two, then once thts done, push th alt. backwrds so it tightens th belt, then tighten the bolts. ull need to tighten one of them to hold it in place..mak sence?..maybe.. lmk
