    Default Shift Link Questions

What is the rubber piece called that goes over the shifter. The one that is always a pain in the a** to get on if its old because it tends to crack and rip. anyone know the proper name or just where to get a new one?

im not trying to make enemies or anything. the reason i called it a shifter ball seat is because thats what the dealer told me when i brought the one off my car. perfect match and fit. thats why i did that. no harm no foul. thanks for the info and the diagram tech5 it was helpful
