    Default 89 240 engine problems need serious help

    well on my way home from work last night my 240s lifters started clackin like a diesel motor and it was spittin out smoke so i stopped and picked up a quart of oil which it was a quart low and thought itd be alright turns out it wasnt so this morning i called out of work and went to autozone and picked up some engine treatment for lifters and sludge and changed out the spark plugs which it needed and its still struggling to stay on and spitting smoke anybody have any ideas on what the hell i need to do short of rebuild and new motor!?

    take the valve cover off and post up some pictures

    found a 95 motor im gonna go ahead and get and swap it out rather than fuck with this motor

    ROD knocc.. the motor is eventually gonna seize.. had the same problem with one of my KA's except the car didnt make it home lol.. motor seized on me in the largest intersection in orlando lol

    well......i need to be able to drive from mon-fri of next week do ya'll think it'll last 5 days or so till i can get the swap in there next friday....i have a 23 mile commute one way to work...could i possibly get those 5 days out of it so i can have the money to cover the new motor?

    with rod knock it can go from 1 minute till the time it takes a dump on u. any guess at how long it will last would be a straight lie.

    yeah it could last 1 year like that, but if it was mine I would fix it now!

    yeah i mean i know i need to fix it but i guess im gonna have to take off work monday and tuesday to do it then .
