    Default 2001 FORD..Oh Crap!

    Ok well my dads work truck(o1 f150 4.2l v6) is messed up..I believe the Intake manifold is cracked because its losing water Rapidly...Ive been calling around to find out estimates and have gotten from 250 bucks to over 2000..Supposedly there are 3 parts to the intake manifold...I believe the part in the Middle is the one thats cracked...is there Anyone who has a clue what im talking about?..I need help IA

    without doing a presure check and me looking at it, my help is worthless, and everyone else....You need to see where its coming from, most cases on these engines are the headgasket

    there is a crack about an inch and a half upward to the right of the thermostat that spews out mist as the pressure test is beng done..I believe the headgasket is fine as of right now...Where are you located Tech5? Does the info i just provided help u further at all?..This SUCKS!

    Ok yeah it will diff need a manifold cost is anywhere from what you said too....Just dont let anyone work on it either , its not for the fate of heart
