Default noob move. help please. lol

so i put a new distributor cap on the integra to see if i can get it running. however, i forgot the pattern of the wires that go into the cap. i know the firing order is 1-3-4-2, but i does it go in the cap the same way? 1-3-4-2 clockwise? thanks.

The firing order for a 1989 acura integra LS is 4-2-1-3 on distributor cap. That is clockwise(cw) with 4 @ the 12:00 position. With 4 being last cylinder on the driver's side.
Pretty sure that would be the same for your car.

if only i had one for this car. lol

ok so im at another wall. pretty sure its sparking now, but i dont know if its strong enough. i did the old scredriver to the wire trick, and it worked, but i basically had to touch it together, it didnt jump. its turning over and sounds like its firing on one or more cylinders, but its dying when it gets to one of them.

btw, a dizzy shock hurts. lol

Not sure on this car or not, but could it be 180 off? That is what happened on my honda when I put it back together...

btw, dizzy shock just means you are almost there.

i dont see how. i never took anything off except the dizzy. and the cams never moved since last time it ran. so all i did was slip the little teeth on the dizzy back in the cam, unless there is a certain way those teeth go in...hmm lol.

2 teeth on dist will only go back on 1 way (they are slightly offset). were you putting a new cap on b/c it was doing the same thing, or were you putting on a totally different dist? if the dist was a reman dist it's poss that it was put back together 180 off (never knew it was possible until i saw it for myself). possible the coil or icm is going bad. do you have a known good dist to try?
