yeah i dont reccommend enamel or oil based paint i used enamel paint for my truck and it was already starting to flake off...but on the contrary it does shine real nice when waxed so if cost is a factor in this whole scheme of things then do that but if u can afford to go for good paint i strongly reccommend base coat clear coat
