A K04 is a cheap upgrade, but a fully outfitted 1.8T w/ a K03 sport will be VERY close, so it almost not worth doin.
Do you already have Intake, Exhaust, Down Pipe, Diverter Valve, Dog Bone mount inserts, clutch/pressure plate, lightened flywheel, Intercooler upgrades? If not, you are pushin rope.
Get what you can from an OEM turbo, you may find you dont need a better turbo, and regardless, you'll need 1/2 that list either way once you get 225WHP, and 275 WTQ.
    Besides, I'd rather have a 240 hp K03 than a 240 hp w/ anything bigger.

If you have the K03Sport its about 15 WHP advantage in the same car. That very little for ALOT of $$. I recommend a T3/04E 50 trim .48 a/r for a quick spooling daily driver wanting 275 WHP/300WTQ. A GT28RS , a GT30 and T3/super 60 are all more $$ and power levels, but they will get you over 300WHP w/o alot of effort.
An AWD will see more increase on a K04 than a K03s car, but you get the same result. Also, you still must contend w/ K03s cars that may beat you in a near OEM mod level....like chip , DP,CB.
