Can I pour it in through the speed sensor?
or does it have to be done from the bottom?
REPS for replys.

do it the proper way...use a funnel and tube, and theres a bolt to fill, and a separate bolt to drain.
I won't advertise because I'm not paying to
why do it that way. its more of a head ache. the speed sensor is just so much easier while still being just as accurate.Originally Posted by gsrteg
remember to fill up with 2.3 quarts
use the funnel and hose technique
Near the cv axle there is a fill hole just put a 17mm on the bolt and pull it out stick in the hose and run it to the top. Then stick your funnel in it and fill until it starts to overflow
^^ i just changed my tranny fluid today as well. i wish i woulda seen this thread earlier lol
why do it the hard way?Originally Posted by T2KU

at least pull the fill bolt out to see when you've got too much. you risk overfilling it through the speed sensor hole. if you overfill the oil will seep out the output shaft and soak your clutch/pp.

yeah, if it was meant to fill throught the top, they would not have drilled the extra fill hole, just do it the right way.
drain, fill with 2 quarts. YOu cant overfill if it you only use 2 quarts

the right way is not always the easiest
just fill it in the fill plug its not that hard to do, and your already right there to drain it out. so.....
HF
What I do is drain with the 3/8 ratchet bolt and take the 17mm bolt out up top , screw the 3/8 bolt back in tighten it, and then take the 1 10mm bolt out of the speed sensor wingle it back an forth an remove it, fill the fluid until it runs out of the 17mm hole then install the 17mm bolt and gentle install the speed sensor and line up the hole and install the 10mm bolt and your done, whip off fluid and clean up your done!
Fluid I use either, Honda/Acura fluid which cost 5.49 qt
or GM syncro mesh!!!
