Default Honda Accord IAT sensor? (Also P1359 CEL)

    Hey guys,

I just got my oil change and noticed that the CEL came on right after.
I hooked up the scanner and its a P1359 "Manufacturer specific" code.

I just reset it to see if it comes back, but it has not yet. Exactly what does this mean? Oh and my CEL doesnt blink, just stays on.

I did that the IAT was showing 134*F. WTF! Its 55 outside, no way it should be that high. I pulled the air filter and had it sucking cold air with the hood open - still said 134. Now it DOES change - when I let it sit with the hood closed after running it, it went up to 143. It seems to work but the numbers are about 80F off!

The car also idles a little rough - maybe from running lean due to messed up IAT?

    Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

It'd off it'd be great if you could tell me exactly where it is. It looks like I might have to stick my hand in between the plenum and the firewall.

obviously has nothing to do with your IAT sensor. besides, the IAT is supposed to be around 120-150 depending on mods at operating temp. the air outside heats up as it comes closer to your engine and the IAT is located on your intake manifold. so let your car run for 20 min, touch your intake manifold and ask yourself if you really think the air inside that manifold is really 60 F?

Thanks for confirming. I drove around but didnt get the code again. I wonder what caused it to come on in the first place.

I had the hood open and the air filter off. The IAT sensor was looking at air through 2 feet of tubing. I highly doubt engine heat can make the air to go from 55 to 140 - especially since I'm able to touch the intake and its not THAT hot. I was expecting to see something around 75-90F.
