    Why do people keep on saying clean the solenoid.... If you clean it with any part cleaner, your going to damage it. That part is NON- SERVICABLE. WHICH MEANS YOU DONT HAVE TO CLEAN IT. If it goes bad then its bad, you have to replace it. If the screen gets clogged, you have a bigger problem somewhere else thats making it clog.

    not true. i am a tech at honda. the vtec solenoids do get clogged due to sludge build up . i have fixed many of cars just by using some type of cleaner and cleaning them out. never had a comeback for it. you can replace if it still doesnt work after a good cleaning but hey its worth a shot
