    Default Tranny Q/Clutch

my tranny grinds only in 3rd gear but if i take my time and pause and then shift it doesnt grind. what could it possibly be? maybe clutch because it seems like its grinding the flywheel because its not engaging enough?

    thanks in advance

my car does that too. Its weird. It sometimes will make me miss 3rd(high rpms). Dono wut it is either. Im prob gonna get some honda manual tranny fluid and see if that helps. I hear a lot of good things about it.

100% Synchro's. Your pause allows the gears to slow down and synchronize themselves manually, which aligns the gears allowing for a smooth shift. Double Clutching would also help our failing synchro's to line up as well at high rpm shifting, but more wear and tear on the clutch and pressure plate.

The 3rd/4th Synchro are together in what is called a hub that is pressed onto the shaft via a press.

Time for a rebuild or tranny swap. What engine/tranny/model do you have and I can give you the parts or steps to take to rebuild.
