try to run injector cleaner through it. could be a bad O2 sensor. could be a bad cat. and i know the timing was off in my mustang and was makin me get HORRIBLE gas mileage
First of all what kind of mpg are you getting? Did you sit down and calculate it? BTW: It goes 200 miles on $60 of gas is not MPG.
How many miles? Maybe its time for a new primary O2 sensor.

Try driving like grandma.. Pinky toe the accelerator lol..
But also try simple little things.. like replace air filter.. Oil change.. maintenance stuff..
x2!! On my old honda I did new plugs, wires, oil change, and air filter change and gained 4-5 MPG.Originally Posted by seanrg1116

thanks for all the help by the way. i have about 73000 miles on it. ive been keeping up with the oil changes. i was thinkin it was time for new air filter and i also heard new spark plugs would help. im not sure EXACLTY what my mpg is but usually if i start on a full tank i would get 350-400 until the light came on. and now i get about 300-320 from full tank until the light comes on.

You know you're driving habits can save you up to 20% more gas. If you drive with a lighter foot, braking and accelerating slower than you will save more gas.
Its the most sure fire way of saving gas but you still might wanna check your air filter, tired pressure, spark plugs, and fuel filter.
I would def do Air filter and spark plugs first.
Is the check engine light on?
K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
