    Exclamation K20AR swap question

I have an EP3 and was wondering if it is possible to slap in a K20ar longblock. If its possible what is needed. I am pretty sure it'll bolt in there, but is there any wiring or clearance issues? I need ya'll to let me know. Cuz it's either this or boost. Personally though it'll be nice to have a type R under the hood.

I've done some research already, but I would like to hear some local opinions from people who know what they're talking about (no offense just trying to explain). Plus I have come to find out from personal experiance that some so called HoNdA TeCh web sites aren't worth a s***. So again if anybody wants give it a shot I'd appreciate it.

    ephatch.com
    k-series.com

k20a (type r) swaps right in.
don't recall you needing a different wiring harness, just need the motor, ecu & tranny.

k20a2 (type s) motor is the same way.

check ephatch.com all the ep3 questions have been answered on there

do a k20a2 (cheaper and more readily available) and then boost it

Thanks I'll look into it. So my tranny won't bolt up to it?

should bolt up, but i believe the extra revs will benefit better with the 6spd (shorter gears?) no 100% sure.

most swaps come w. the tranny's though.

I am able to get a type R at a good deal but no tranny. I would like to just bolt mine on there and later get the type R tranny. But I'll look into it a little further. Thanks for all the help.
