Default b16a2 into EG chassis question

well i have a b16a2 swap that i have been getting ready to put into my hatch and of course as you know it is obd2 and the car is obd1. my question is what is required to wire it up and get it running. i have a civic EX (92-95) vtec wiring harness to use and i have cut the pigtails from the Si harness to use the Si injectors w/ the EX harness. i have talked to tom at Acura/Honda specialists, and he said some things that i have already forgot. i was gonna take it there but i dont have the $$$. i think i have to change a plug in the alternator and do something w/ the dizzy?? any help is greatly appreciated..... and thanks in advance.

!st off are u using the p2t ecu or an obd1 ecu (p28, p30)? if ur using the obd1 ecu...

obd2 engine have the crank sensor on the oil pump. obd1 engines have the crank sensor in the dizzy. either use and obd1 dizzy or ull have wire in the crank sensor from the oil pump to the ecu.

u can just put obd1 injectors in or switch out ur injector plugs.

u got the alternator part down. use and obd1 alt or change the plug.

i think thats it i think. if im wrong, someone please correct me bc ive never physically did that swap yet.

I'd use an obd1 b16 wiring harness, injectors, alternator, dizzy, and ecu.

so then using the p28 i can completely avoid that step b/c the knock sensor wont work w/ the obd1 e.c.u is that correct??

IIRC if you use those obd1 components I listed you don't have to cut any wires really. should be "plug and play". I guess that term applies here. lol

find them for me and i will. i have also been told on clubeg6 that i could use and obd2 GSR harness and it would plug into the shock tower plugs and the motor. i have searched for all that stuff with no luck and i would wind up paying more for all that stuff than i did for the whole swap, and w/ a baby on the way spending a whole lot of $$$ is out of the question.

obd2 gsr harness means its wired for the external (outside the dizzy and on the oil pump) crank sensor. which means ud still have to do some pin swapping or wire jumping at the ecu.

you use the harness that comes in your eg, wiring is super easy! I have a RYWIRE.com harness that is plug an play just have to do some pin in's at the ecu...Use a P28 they dont use a knock sensor, and you will need to get a OBD1 dizzy, Injectors are fine if you cut the plugs off the OBDII harness or use the SOHC OBDI injectors an you be fine, 94-01 DC mounts, an shift linkage,exhaust,etc...hope this helps ...I have done many many many many swaps so if you need anythng else lmk

just get a obd2 ls harness every thing will plug in and you will not need to get a new dizzy or cut and splice anything. then all you got to do is wire the 2 wires and the ground for vtec!
