    Default 2000 eclipse gt mivec?

    probably a dumb question but, i have a 2000 eclipse gt 5sp, yall think i can swap a mivec head? or you would have to swap the whole motor?

    The 3.8 out of the 4th gen are kinda expensive.. I would drop a 3.5 Diamante motor(6g74) in. There are a couple guys with 3g Eclipse and 8g Galants with the 3.5 most are boosted on stock motor! I know of atleast 4 with 35r making over 400hp.. You can find a good 3.5 at the salvage yards starting at 550.

    You can put an evo motor in one too from what I've heard. That is if you wanted to save a little weight by going with four instead of six cylinders, but then, it might not be as light as I'm thinking, with all of the extra goodies involved.
