    Unhappy 92 Integra problems (LS motor inside)

    Since ive had the car, everytime i got past 3-4k RPMS, the tach would jump around. Mainstream noticed this during the dyno day the other week. It did that for a little while, now its getting worse. Sometimes while im driving the tach (and the actual revs) will drop to 0 and kick back in again. Then it will drop to 0 again but the engine will still be running. when its at 0 i can press the gas and you can hear the throttle open up but nothing happens. then it'll cut off and not want to start. Any ideas? If you have questions, plz ask. I was told it was the ignition control module that was causing the original skipping that day at the dyno. Could it be the same thing?

    was yours doin that? This evening when i passed by u with the throttle open is the only time it hasnt done that ever

    well i took the distributor apart this morning and scrubbed/cleaned the contact points on the inside of the cap (dont know what you call 'em) and it works fine now

    lol well the ls in the integra i just bought blew up on wed. but already have another motor, and that is sitting in the garage waiting to be put in this weekend. hopefully that will make you feel a little better. lol

    uh well i was driving home in traffic on 41, barely moving. then it sounded like something was rattling, then that rattle slowly turned into a knock, then that turned into the whole motor sounding like there was a million marbles flying around in the engine. and every time i pushed in the clutch it would turn off. barely made it onto barrett where it stalled for the last time then i just rolled it into carmax and parked it there. i got it towed to a friends house yesterday, and got another LS today, so they both are there right now waiting for the destruction to begin first thing tomorrow. should be a fun weekend.
