Since ive had the car, everytime i got past 3-4k RPMS, the tach would jump around. Mainstream noticed this during the dyno day the other week. It did that for a little while, now its getting worse. Sometimes while im driving the tach (and the actual revs) will drop to 0 and kick back in again. Then it will drop to 0 again but the engine will still be running. when its at 0 i can press the gas and you can hear the throttle open up but nothing happens. then it'll cut off and not want to start. Any ideas? If you have questions, plz ask. I was told it was the ignition control module that was causing the original skipping that day at the dyno. Could it be the same thing?
