    Default Solid Torque mounts

well, i have been playing with the idea of making solid torque mounts for people who want them...

i have CNC and all sorts of machines in my basement , i have talked to my dad about it and he said it is quite easy to make...

my brother also makes rtab bushing remover of some sort for bmw's,

here is what i am talking about

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Avid-...mZ360067071240

if i were to make these, would people be interested?? is this a good idea?

im thinking....they are going for 115-125$ shipped on ebay, and around the same price on most websites...

so i would be selling them around 75$?

i am going to make 2 tonight, take pictures and bolt them up to my ITR,

i have one broken driver side torque mount , and i can hear it pop and just feel the engine movement because of that one mount...

if you run AFTERMARKET mounts the Torque Mounts are not needed, especially on a daily driver. Matter of fact its just like the EF and DAs, the aftermarket mounts are so stiff they eliminate the TQ mounts and the front mounts completely.

Now for a road race application, drag race, etc, they work quite well but it sacrifices comfort.

Its definetly a good idea if you can make them for around $75 , but you need CNC Billet aluminum and polyurethane rubber thats perfectly shaped. Its not as easy as it looks but good luck

really the rear mount takes the most abuse. the others help mostly keep the combination stationary. then the lower ones are torque limiters which wont be needed if all main mounts r solid. but man do those solids really make a car vibrate, lol.

No he wants the mounts that Avid Racing makes, they are the TQ Mounts Danny, the ones that bolt to the fram rail under the car.

One is attatched to the Tranny and one is part of the AC Bracket
