    Default B18c1 & B18c5 any differences!!

just wondering are there any differences from GSR & ITR waterpump/timing belt/

what i have i noticed the itr waterpump has 19T stamped on the face of the WP, and i'm not sure about the timing belt, i have a GSR timing belt will that all work out..

and distributor wise, can LS dizzy be used on vtec heads? is there some way or another to make the LS dizzy work on vtec heads? I'm hearing that it could/possible/maybe. but haven't known anyone that has done this b4. lmk something TECH'S

the pumps are the same. as for the dizzy u can cut 1 ear of it and it will work its not recommended at all. it will always leak oil and well just looks like poo.

what ever water pump you use then use same belt. i think gsr ant type Rs the same. also cut off dizzy ear closest to vtec solenoid. but it will leak cause most of the time u can only use the top bolt hole.

so that means i cant use this waterpump that i have then because it has 22T and the gsr/typeR has only 19T, and i found a dizzy already so i dont need to cut off the ears of an LS dizzy thanks though.. and i think i got it jot down,

LS Timing belt ONLY works with LS WATER PUMP
B16 Timing Belt ONLY WORKS WITH B16 WATER PUMP
GSR/ITR Timing Belt ONLY WORKS WITH GSR/ITR WATER PUMP

Im 99% sure the B16 Water Pump is the same as the ITR/GSR so the WATER PUMP is interchangeable, ovviously not the belt.

The LS has like 22 Teeth on the Water Pump and GSR/ITR has 19Teeth.

Belts are slightly different too IIRC

the ls waterpump cogg pulley is smaller around than the b16/gsr/type r. youve got this for ls 0 and this for b16/gsr/type r O. if you use an ls water pump with a gsr/typer/b16 the belt will come up long. or vise versa. some times they will work if the tensioner will allow it to.
