A.) Both the factory spoiler and the Type R/Type S wing do produce downforce.

B.) The real weight savings on lighter rims on an RSX would be in the general region of the owner's wallet. Considering the cost of the "Lightweight" rims versus getting some wheels that actually look kindof nice and are the same size, he could get the wing AND the wheels and get about the same performance benefit!
Spending money on dressing up a car is a waste IMO - Just my opinon.

A) This is not about performance, just looks. The 10 grams of downforce it produces is offset by the weight of the spoiler. We're talking about street driving, downforce doesnt do squat when you take turns at 30mph. Its just a drain on your wallet on the highway.

B) Well said. The wheels are for looks only. I think wheels add more to the car's looks than a stupid ricer wing. I meant lightweight compared to some crazy chromes. A nice 5 spoke should work well. There are enough of these cars out there trying to out-rice each other. We dont need one more.
