Oil Leak

ok so i have an F22 in my accord (yes i know its slow as hell but wasnt my choice of motor when bought)

for some reason it keeps leaking oil and i cant figure out why. ive changed the valve cover gasket and the distributor O ring. it kept leaking tho and i took it to a mechanic and he says those fixed it but it has not stopped leaking. i see new oil on the ground every morning. and as far as i know the oil pan is fine.

what else should i check or could be causing the leak?
if anyone knows or has any advice for me that would be greatly appreciated

Oil leaks are a pain. Unless you know where the leak is coming from you need to start from the top and work to the bottom.

Could be cam seal, rear main, crank seal, oil pan gasket. Check the cam seal, I see those go bad quite often. See if there is oil in your bell housing, that is your rear main.

those are bad about the Oil pump seal! crank,cam,balance shaft seal! Oil pan too! Good luck!!

try using some dye you will find it quicker, just clean the motor down be for you put it in

Im not sure if you meant the oil pan gasket is new and thats why it shouldnt leak, but its very very easy to pinch a brand new one on a honda and spring a small leak.

I Seen people install the gasket an it comes to my shop an its still is the gasket ...There are two studs on the back an front of the bottom of the engine an when installing the pan its the 2 nuts on each side, that stud if you dont clean it an remove the washers off an the silcone when putting the pan an new gasket on its doubling the washers on the front an back an causing it to leak....Look at a new oil pan gasket you can see silver washers inside the holes ...GL

don't forget about the rear main seal

could be a cracked head..samething happen to my f22. had to do a motor swap.
gluck on finding the problem.

use brake cleaner to spray down the whole motor. get all the oil off of it and drive it for a day. when you check again you should be able to see where the fresh oil leaked out. there are quite a few spots oil could leak from.

i bought the car after a mechanic did an engine swap and the engine was only in for a couple months before i got it.
