    Default how much boost/HP before the STOCK sleeves crack?

    how much boost/HP before the sleeves crack? I HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME FOR A WHILE SO DONT POST IF YOU DONT KNOW...THAT WAY I DONT HAVE TO WEED THROUGH GARBAGE. Here are my engine speces.. 01 type r head ported, polish 5 angle,crower titanium valve springs/retainers 1mm over ferra valves gsr cams
    THE block is LS eagle rods 8,72,1 JE pistons .5 over Mahle rings .5 over block was balanced/bored crank polished balanced i have no block guard or a block girdle currently tune nicly by scotty at mainstream performance 560 inj. t3/t4 47 trim 3" open exuast 333whp 16 psi .....I NOW HAVE 720 INJ. AND A GARRETT GT35R GETTING TUNED TWO WEEKS NOW how much boost/HP before the STOCK sleeves crack?

    Its really a hit or miss I have seen cars w/ stock sleeves make 500whp and some make 250...

    I made 350 on my LS turbo stock sleeve lasted 4 months with 21psi

    well you can buy close-deck sleeves from darton for about 450 and have a maching shop put them in for about 500-800 depending on where you go....

    400whp is the "average" around 20-24psi is where they tend to fail.

    CJ had a car that ran 350whp for 3 years, one week at 400whp an it busted a sleeve.

    Most people will be ok around 350-375whp if they take care of the car. 400whp and one wrong move an its game over.

    guy up here has a b16a with a deck guard 474@18psi 2 1/2yrs before cracked sleve
