there is cd-r and cd-rw. make sure that it wasn't a cd-r disk the first time, some cd players will play cd-r disks but not cd-rw.

The disks also may need to be "Finalized" after being burnt if they are CD-RW's. This essentially turns the CD-RW into a CD-R by burning an extra layer of data that allows more conventional audio-cd players to read the disk. Without being "Finalized" any burnt CD will not play in a regular audio-cd player, and afterwards all of them should (Assuming the burning process worked right, which isn't always the case.)

Make sure you are not burning the songs as MP3s as well.

nah it was a cd-rw cuz i erased and burned over it several times. as far as the finalization thing goes i have no idea how to check if it does that. i know they arent being burned as mp3 either.
