How much will it cost and where can I get it done.
any machine shop will do it for u....cant help u with a price tho..
what thread is it? spark plug threads? intake exhaust manifold?
shouldnt be too much considering u can take the head off and take it to the machine shop.. and they can knock it out in a second!
no they cant thats my problem now. no one in the metro area can do it because it is to far downOriginally Posted by JITB
theres a old machine shop off glenwood that i was referred to by a older fellow, that does stuff like that all the time. but if its too far than its too far..lolOriginally Posted by jadakid88

i was about to post i don tknow, but a few secs..in google found it...
not sure on their pricing for rethreading, but he charged me 40$ to pressure check my head to see if it was warped or cracked..
I would throw the block away and buy a new one before I would let scotts do anything to it. I wouldn't let them air up a tire, much less any sort of machine work, or anything else for that matter. They should have some sort of "special education" work program. Their work quality would drastically increase.Originally Posted by southside

K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
well u might be able to re thread it like blackshine said, with a kit form the parts store... ive done it before on a spark plug thread. But if its really deep than its gonna be hard to find something that long..
Oh, my bad. Blow out the holes with compressed air. If at all possible, get a tap and die kit and go over each hole. Make sure you blow any trash out of it or it will be very difficult to turn.Originally Posted by southside

It would help by cleaning up slag that was caused by trash that was in the bolt hole while you were trying to install that bolt. And it's good assurance that you will have a whole that won't tear up your bolts.

If you don't like what I have to say, and if you're too ****ing stupid to see that their workmanship is that of an elementary school kid, then **** off. Its like I said before, if you're too god damn stupid to know good work from bad work, then you don't know what bad work is.Originally Posted by no mo hondas
I have had to clean up several of Scott's Machine Shop's messes. I'm not getting in depth with what all I have encountered, because there is simply too much. I wouldn't even know where to begin.Originally Posted by southside
