    Unhappy A/C not very cold...

so yeah... my A/C doesn't really blow that cold. I know they have those freon booster kits at autozone and such, but is there anything that you cats would suggest to make that A/C a little cooler? super hot summer FTL/mediocre A/C FTL.

thanks in advance for any help.

well if your low on freon then there is only 1 fix for it... get more freons. Then you're next step would be determining if you have a leak in your system.

anyway... how do i check to see if my level is low... i was looking some kind of gauge but i didnt see one around. i know the freon kits at autozone have the little gauge on the line from the can.

the other thing you should check is your antifreeze. I had the same problem turned out i was just low on antifreeze.

def check the levels if your running low. i hadd a problem like this one time where there was a small leak in my hose and it would leak out a little bit at a time. i ended up having to replace the hose and antifreeze and i was good.

Ok, your coolant level has nothing to do with your A/C. It's a completely seperate system and work independantly of the cooling system. Like others have suggested, the first step would be to hook some manifold gauge's up to the low side port(big line) and see what kind of pressure you're reading. If it's below 35psi, add a can or two of Freon(12oz's). If it's above 35psi, then you've got a more serious problem. Could be an a/c compressor going out(usually the case) or a blockage in the system.

Let me know how it goes.

Do you have a system that uses R-134a? I know nothing about Hondas, but I do remember my old 300zx used like R12 or something weird like that and had to be converted. You might want to just bite the bullet and have a shop completely flush and fill your system.

take your car to a shop let them inspect your system evac, recharge, and dye inject it.

yes, it's a possibility that your sol uses r12. sheck under your hood and your a/c sticker will say either R134 or R12. Then, you should go ahead and have the a/c system evaced, and recharged. you'll be happier than just adding a can. make sure you use the dye, that way if you do have a leak, you will be able to find out where it's coming from.

get the autozone rechill kit or whatever its called. just did it on my moms highlander, and it made alot of diff and its pretty easy to do as well. the weird thing about my car was that i just had my compressor replaced and i had too much frion and it wouldnt get cold at all, when some was release to the proper level, that ish is cold as hell now. so i would try the 30 dollar kit, if it works, it will def be worth it.

    Justin your system is R134a.

The only R12 sol's were the 93 models.

    Like my Heidi was.

And people wonder why I removed the system... R12 is annoying as ****.

But yeah check your coolant... it's crazy but true. No idea why, but it works lol. If you end up needing parts, I haz an entire honda A/C setup in the shed. *sigh*

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
