    Default dash removal

    In a EF.. does anyone knoe a link on how to take one out:.
    i need to get to the dash harness..
    (planin on swapin my whole project car over to obd1 literally)

    i'd much appreciate it folks:..

    1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
    2. Slide both front seats back fully.
    3. Remove center console as follows:

    1. On 4-door models, remove front passenger seat.
    2. On manual transmission models, remove shift lever knob.
    3. On all models, lift up parking brake lever.
    4. Remove screws in numbered sequence as shown in Fig. 23.
    5. Remove console from vehicle.

    4. Remove fuse lid and knee bolster.
    5. Disconnect wire harnesses from connector holder and fuse box, then the sunroof switch connector, if equipped, Fig. 15.
    6. Remove fuse box mounting nuts, then lower fuse box, if necessary.
    7. Disconnect ground cable at right of steering column, then the power door mirror switch connector, Fig. 16.
    8. Remove side air vent knob and face plate, then the two screws attaching side air vent control lever, Fig. 17.
    9. Remove center panel and radio, then the three screws attaching heater control panel to instrument panel, Fig. 18







    10. On four door models, remove gauge upper panel, Fig. 24.
    11. On three door and station wagon models, remove cluster bezel, Fig. 25.
    12. On all models, disconnect speedometer cable.
    13. Lower steering column, Fig. 21.
    14. Remove side defroster garnishes from both ends of instrument panel and center upper lid from top of instrument panel, Fig. 22.
    15. Remove all instrument panel mounting bolts, then lift and remove instrument panel from vehicle.
    16. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

    1. Ensure that instrument panel fits onto body correctly.
    2. Before tightening instrument panel bolts, ensure wires are not pinched and panel does not interfere with heater control cable.
    3. When attaching steering column, refer to Fig. 21 for torque specifications.
