You have an obd2b to obd1 harness, not the other way around.

You need to use an obd1 p72, you have wiring issues, for your tach... and prob have a bad speed sensor, or corrosion etc.

have you had any experience w/ tach problems, like where should i start? I have checked all the wiring inside the car by pulling the dash out but nothing was cut or damaged at all, I cant see anything under the hood unpluged or damaged, could it be a problem with the different year model wiring pin placement. And also some other info the tach does nothing but the spedo is constantly at about 20mph with the key on and around 50 to 60mph when the engine is running???

thanks for all the help sofar +reps to all
