Default What would the best choice be?

I have a '97 Mirage, but it needs a new engine. Let's say I have roughly $1500 to spend. Should I get a replacement 1.5L or 1.8L or look for another cheap car And this might be stupid, but how much would it cost to swap a 4g63 turbo engine into it? I bet it'd make for a fun sleeper.

obtaining a 4g63t with $1500 is going to be pretty hard. But if you search HARD enough, you could probably find one for exactly 1500 or around there. Most of them run from 1500-2000. However, the non-turbo engines could be had for a lot cheaper. I would just purchase a n/a 4g and keep it as a dd

slovic-fcc: Yeah, I've been looking for a Civic HB for the past month or so and when I find a decent one, it's either 100 miles away or gone before I know it. I'll continue to look, though.

redpanda: How much does an N/A 4g63 generally run, and where can I find one? I wouldn't mind swapping one of those in at all.
