Anyone use a VTEC harness on a non-vtec motor?

i gotta obd1 SOHC vtec wiring harness(D16Z6) original car 92 SI hatch

bout to put an obd1 LS in it w/ P75 ecu(LS), just wonderin if i can use the harness without any electrical issues no vtec solenoid, CEL's, etc.

What if i were to use a chipped ECU?? tune it, would that be different cuz u can disable some settings??
